Jetton launches effort to restore strong, conservative leadership in Fort Bend County
Richmond, TX – Former Texas State Representative Jacey Jetton announced today the formation of an exploratory committee to assess a potential campaign for Fort Bend County Judge. Composed of proven Republican leaders, the committee will actively engage with the community, evaluate key challenges, and chart the strongest path forward to restore effective, conservative leadership to the county.
Jetton, a seventh-generation Texan, has spent his career fighting for taxpayers, strengthening public safety, and ensuring responsible government. As a Chairman on the Appropriations Committee, he played a pivotal role in delivering the largest property tax cut in Texas history while safeguarding funding for essential services. His commitment to conservative governance extends beyond the Legislature—Jetton has also served Fort Bend County as both a Republican precinct chair and Chairman of the Fort Bend County Republican Party, working to elect strong Republican leaders and advance conservative values at the local level.
In addition to his public service, Jetton is a business owner and serves in the Texas Army National Guard. His experience in leading organizations, managing budgets, and driving economic growth has given him a deep understanding of fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency—key qualities needed in county leadership. His military service reflects his commitment to honor, integrity, and selfless service, values he seeks to bring to Fort Bend County government.
“Fort Bend County is at a crossroads, and we need bold, conservative leadership to get back on the right path,” said Jetton. “Over the past several years, we’ve seen challenges that have weakened trust in our county government. It’s time to restore honor, respect, and competence to our local leadership. I am committed to bringing strong, conservative, and honest leadership that puts taxpayers first, strengthens public safety, and creates opportunities for families and businesses to thrive.”
The Jacey Jetton Exploratory Committee will be guided by key Republican leaders, providing strategic insight and support as Jetton meets with residents to gather input.
